How can you help the environment whilst raising your children?
- Use Reusable nappies
- Buy Eco friendly cleaning products - refill when empty
- Use shopping bags that can be reused
- Recycle old toys / swap toys with friends
- Make your own birthday cards, and pressies.
- Save and reuse wrapping paper.
- Teach children to grow own vegetables
- Shop locally avoid items that have traveled great distances to get here
- Buy fairtrade products whenever possible so at least the people who produce it get a sensible amount of money on it
- Buy organic produce whenever possible
- Recycle as much as you can - bottles, glass jars, paper, clothes and shoes can be recycled
- Donate old mobile phones to charity rather than binning them.
- Try to share the school run with other mums if it is not feasible to walk
- Walk whenever possible
